![]() ![]() To set your own Game bar screenshot keyboard shortcut, to Settings > Gaming > Game bar. From here, you can click the screenshot button in the Game bar or use the default keyboard shortcut Windows key + Alt + PrtScn to snap a full-screen screenshot. Once enabled, hit the Windows key + G key to call up the Game bar. You can change where your recordings or screenshots are saved: Press Shift + Ctrl + Show. First, you'll need to enable the Game bar from the settings page by making sure you've toggled on Record game clips, screenshots and broadcasts using Game bar. Recordings and screenshots get saved to your Downloads folder. You can use the Game bar to snap a screenshot, whether you're in the middle of playing a game or not. It will then be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder. You can press Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot. On Windows there seems to be 73 different embedded ways to do a screen grab, some of them conflict with each other (Snip and Sketch vs OneNote for example) whilst others all try and do the same thing, and they all do the same thing badly :(OneDrive says its saving a copy of every screenshot, but it isnt. If your computer doesn't have the PrtScn key, no worries, Microsoft has another keyboard shortcut for you. ![]() ![]() You'll need to open the shot in an image editor to save it. This will snap your currently active window and copy the screenshot to the clipboard. To take a quick screenshot of the active window, use the keyboard shortcut Alt + PrtScn. Your screen will briefly go dim to indicate you've just taken a screenshot, and the screenshot will be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder. To capture your entire screen and automatically save the screenshot, tap the Windows key + Print Screen key. Scroll down the screen until you find the slide button setting that allows you to open screen snipping with the print screen (PrtScn) button, as shown in Figure D. I believe the best way to do this would be to take the screenshot and then file the white background as transparent using image editing software. Open Windows settings using the Win + I shortcut or one of the many available options. You can then type taskkill /IM screensketch.exe on the command prompt then press enter, this will close the Snip and Sketch process. Windows 11: Enable Print Screen Key to Open Snip and Sketch. You can adjust print screen settings in Windows. To do this, press the Windows + R key then type in cmd and press enter to launch the command prompt. ![]()
